'Superman Returns' gets the full trailer treatment

You really will believe that a man can fly with this new glimpse at the Man of Steel in action.

May  3 2006

And so we come to our second trailer of the day, an extended peak at what promises to be the best blockbuster of the summer, 'Superman Returns'.

And the trailer is a suitably grandiose affair, full of potentially iconic imagery of the Man of Steel in action above the streets of Metropolis.

Brandon Routh continues to look the part as both Clark Kent and Superman, while Kevin Spacey appears to be in scene-stealing form as Lex Luthor, with snappy one-liners falling from his mouth like pellets from an owl.

And with a glimpse at the much hyped action set piece involving a Jumbo Jet, it's an impressive precursor for what could be the biggest film of the year.
