May  4 2006

Catherine Zeta-Jones is in talks to star opposite Guy Pearce in a drama about Harry Houdini entitled 'Death-Defying Acts'.

As previously reported here, the film will take place during Houdini's 1926 world tour, with Zeta-Jones playing an exotic psychic who tries to convince Houdini that she can speak to his dead mother.

'Death Defying Acts' is set to start shooting in the UK this summer, with Gillian Armstrong ('Little Women', 'Oscar and Lucinda') at the helm.
