Enduring Bond

'Enduring Love' collaborators Roger Michell and Daniel Craig look set to reunite on Bond 22.

Jul 17 2006

The jury is yet to return its verdict as to whether Daniel Craig excels as Bond, yet filmmakers are already planning his second foray into 007 territory.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that Roger Michell is in negotiations to direct the follow-up to 'Casino Royale', which is currently going by the imaginative working title 'Bond 22'.

Having helmed the likes of 'Notting Hill', 'The Mother' and 'Persuasion', Michell isn't the obvious choice, although he tackled the action genre with 'Changing Lanes' in 2002 and did work with Craig on the excellent 'Enduring Love' in 2004.

The film will apparently be based on an original idea by Bond producer Michael Wilson, with Eon Productions currently looking for a writer to adapt the story.
