Bernal to battle Bourne?
Gael García Bernal has been offered a role in 'The Bourne Ultimatum'.

Much like the latest Bond film, the new Jason Bourne pic has started shooting without a villain to star opposite Matt Damon.
'Casino Royale' was several weeks into production before Mads Mikkelsen was cast as the dastardly Le Chiffre, and 'The Bourne Ultimatum' began production last week in Tangier without a baddie to battle the amnesiac super-spy.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Gael García Bernal has been offered the role, but negotiations are yet to take place with the 'Amores Perros' star.
In our opinion, the baby-faced Bernal is an unlikely candidate for super-villain, and with his directorial debut 'Deficit' currently in post production, he may have more serious things on his mind.
However, having seen how effortlessly he mastered slapstick comedy for 'The Science of Sleep', who are we to doubt the dark side of the talented Mexican?
Whoever bags the role, 'The Bourne Ultimatum' will hit screens next summer with Joan Allen and Julia Stiles returning, David Strathairn joining the cast and Paul Greengrass again directing.
