'Children of Men' rule the top ten

'Children of Men' and 'The Queen' top the charts in London.

Sorry about the lack of box office update last week but my trip to San Sebastian rather put a spanner in the online works. Through a lucky twist of fate however, the chart doesn't look too different, with the brilliant one-two punch of 'Children of Men' and 'The Queen' holding on at one and two respectively.

Indeed, not even the might of the Oliver Stone/Nicolas Cage 9/11 collaboration 'World Trade Center' could budge these two brilliant London-set films.

Just below 'WTC', the dire Adam Sandler comedy 'Click' somehow found an audience, ousting the far better laugh-fest 'Little Miss Sunshine', which dropped to five.

Animated kids pic 'Hoodwinked' (which my young niece informs me is 'OK') came straight in at number six, while it's dull, dull, dull further down the chart, so I'll pretend numbers seven to ten don't exist.

Next week, it's all about DiCaprio, Damon, Nicholson and Scorsese taking over at the top with 'The Departed'.
