Will Ferrell is in talks to star in a new comedy about one man's friendship with a fly.

Current king of comedy Will Ferrell is in talks to get close and personal with an insect in new film 'Fly on the Wall'.

The 'Talladega Nights' star is attached to the forthcoming high concept comedy about an anti-social fellow whose life takes a turn for the better when he befriends a talking fly.

'X-Files' scribe Vince Gilligan is currently touching up Neil Tolkin's original script, with a 2008 release planned.
