'Hellraiser' resurrected
Clive Barker spills the beans about his horror remake.

Horror giant Clive Barker has revealed more about his plans to resurrect the 'Hellraiser' franchise.
Barker will write and produce a remake of the 1987 original, which revolves around a Chinese puzzle box that grants entry to a world of sadism and pain.
He won't direct this time around however, with the search now on for a similarly sick and twisted helmer.
The budget will be increased, which is no bad thing as the original's effects have dated badly over the last 20 years, and the story will also be updated.
'There are some areas of the first movie where I think we can be a lot more intense and a lot more scary,' he told Variety. 'It will not be simply a reworking or reshooting of the first picture.'

- I`m a Barker fan and as many fans will know Cl;ive himself became insensed with the franchise, saying that he wished he could put this`son of a bitch movie` to bed. Having see the entire series and having been very disappointed with no.5, I can only hope that the propper licenses and copyrights will be granted, music rights etc., so that this will pay homage to the original movie.
