'The Simpsons' trailer online

Catch a glimpse of their big-screen debut

Nov 13 2006

A trailer for the highly anticipated 'The Simpsons Movie' was premiered on American television on Sunday night and can now be viewed on the internet.

The film will be released worldwide next summer and features all the regular cast members from the long running TV series, including Harry Shearer, Hank Azaria and Nancy Cartwright, as well as guest appearances by a number of stars including Minnie Driver and Erin Brockovich.

Gracie Films and Twentieth Century Fox are behind the long-awaited film that sees America’s most famous dysfunctional family make their big-screen debut.

'We couldn't be more thrilled,' producer Al Jean said. 'Homer Simpson lights up the screen like a young Woody Woodpecker'.

Created by Matt Groening, 'The Simpsons' is now in its 18th season, and has picked up 23 Emmy Awards along the way.
