Robin in the hood
The story of New Jersey's modern-day Robin Hood Eddie Mongon is to be turned into a film.
Nov 27 2006
Ericson Core, director of the forthcoming Mark Wahlberg American football flick 'Invincible', has been hired to helm modern-day Robin Hood story 'Conrail'.
The film will tell the story of Eddie Mongon, 18-year-old leader of the 'Conrail Boyz', who spent a decade stealing millions of dollars worth of cargo from trains and then dividing the loot up amongst the poor of New Jersey. He was eventually arrested in 2004.
And as if that wasn't enough biopic action for one director, Core is also working on 'Liberty', which will tell the true story of 1946 Boston Marathon winner Stylianos Kyriakides, who escaped execution during the Nazi occupation of Greece.
