Madonna to voice CGI princess

Not only is Luc Besson co-producing Guy Ritchie's next film, Revolver, but he is also set to work with his missus, Madonna.

Adapted from a children's book, penned by Besson himself, the story centres around Arthur, a ten-year-old orphan who sets off into the magical world of the Minimoys on a quest to find treasure.

Madonna will be providing the voice of Princess Selenia, who accompanies Arthur on a stretch of his journey. Morgan Freeman is also reported to be in talks with Besson about joining the cast.

Although little is known about the film, the book has been available in French book stores since 2002, if the multi-lingual among you want to get a head start.

One thing's for sure though, it will certainly be interesting to see what comes from the imagination of the man who wrote and directed The Fifth Element, Nikita and Leon, when he's let loose with the endless possibilities of animation.

It's hard to imagine where he gets his time and energy from - he's also working on around 22 other projects this year and next in various capacities. It's exhausting just thinking about it.
