McKellen sprinkles 'Stardust'

Sir Ian has been cast as the voice of the narrator in the forthcoming fantasy pic.

Jan  2 2007

Just as no one wears a safari suit with quite the same degree of casuality as Roger Moore, so no one speaks words with quite the same authoritarian command as Ian McKellen. We're therefore pleased to hear that the knight of the realm has been cast as the narrator in Matthew Vaughn's 'Stardust'.

He joins Claire Danes, Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer in the fantasy adventure, which is based on Neil Gaiman's comic book series of the same name.

McKellen is currently recording his voiceover while the film is in post-production, with 'Stardust' set to hit UK screens on October 19.
