'I'm Not There' is coming here
Todd Haynes' Bob Dylan biopic is finally set to see the light of day.
Jan 3 2007
Todd Haynes long-gestating Bob Dylan biopic has finally been picked up by The Weinstein Co., meaning that it should hit UK screens by the end of the year.
The film examines the singer songwriter's chameleon-like ability to constantly re-invent himself, and stars six different actors playing Dylan at different stages of his career.
Those actors include Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Cate Blanchett and Ben Whishaw, who told Time Out about his role as 'beat poet Dylan' just a few weeks ago here.
The film will be accompanied by high-profile soundtrack that will feature Dylan covers by the likes of Willie Nelson and Yo La Tengo.
Speaking of the flick, Harvey Weinstein said it will enable fans to 'really gain an insight into his fascinating life'. Here's hoping, as having recently read Dylan's 'Chronicles: Volume 1', I've still no idea where this hugely influential artist is coming from or indeed, what he's on about.
