'Son of Rambow' sells for big bucks
The latst film from Hammer & Tongs sells for $8 million at Sundance.

Last year Time Out spent a wonderful day on the set of Garth Jennings and Nick Goldsmith's 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' follow-up 'Son of Rambow'.
A charming coming-of-age tale revolving around an inspired premise – young boy is inspired to shoot a Rambo homage having seen 'First Blood' for the first time – it looked like a winner even at that early stage.
And it seems that we weren't the only ones charmed by the idea, as following an all-night bidding war at Sundance, Paramount Vantage picked up the worldwide rights to the film for a whopping $8 million yesterday.
Speaking of their acquisition, Paramount Vantage heads John Lesher and Nick Meyer said ''Son of Rambow' is a funny, moving and beautifully crafted tale of friendship and the poignant journey of filmmaking'.
