Kiefer Sutherland heads for 'Mirrors'

Jack Bauer has signed up to a supernatural chiller for Alexandre Aja.

Feb  6 2007

While we wait for an announcement about the eagerly anticipated '24' flick, Kiefer Sutherland is keeping himself busy, signing up to a new supernatural thriller entitled 'Mirrors'.

Unfortunately, the nonsensical sounding premise revolves around a mall security guard who discovers evil in the mirrors. Hence the name.

Sounds like balls to us, but if Alexandre Aja imbues the film with the same kind of horror and suspense that he brought to 'Haute Tension', and, to some extent, 'The Hills Have Eyes', there's a chance 'Mirrors' will be worth more than a passing glance.

And as for the Jack Bauer pic, expect that to go into production next summer, once Sutherland has finished work on season seven of '24'.
