Old Dogs up to old tricks
Travolta and Becker reteam to make new Disney comedy
Mar 2 2007
John Travolta and director Walt Becker, the creaky duo behind 'Wild Hogs' (an appalling looking adventure comedy set for UK release this April), will reunite for another Disney comedy entitled 'Old Dogs'.
Credibility car crash Travolta is set to star while Becker, whose not-so-colourful directorial career includes 'Buying the Cow' and 'Van Wilder' is set to head-up the project. While the search is under way for a second male star, Travolta is rewriting the rules on Hollywood nepotism, insisting wife Kelly Preston and daughter Ella Blue be cast alongside him.
David Diamond and David Weissman ('The Family Man') have penned the script, originally titled 'Old Dads'. Plot details are still to be confirmed, but it's thought to be a buddy comedy revolving around two men who become middle-aged dads. Disney bought the project in a seven figure deal last summer, though why is anyone's guess.
