Scorsese and Wahlberg gamble on Atlantic City project
Director and star of 'The Departed' will develop a new TV show for HBO.

'The Departed' must have been a fun shoot, as all those involved seem to be desperate to work together again in whatever capacity.
Last week it was screenwriter William Monahan collaborating with Leonardo DiCaprio on one project and Martin Scorsese on another, this week it's Mark Wahlberg's turn to get in on the act, with the artist formerly known as Marky Mark developing a mini-series with Scorsese.
Loosely based on the book 'Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City' by Nelson Johnson, the show will chart the town's evolution from quiet seaside resort to billion dollar gambling mecca.
Scorsese and Wahlberg will develop the show for HBO, where the latter has already had success with the hilarious 'Entourage'.
