Cate Blanchett joins crusade
Oscar winner set to star in Indy 4
Mar 16 2007
Oscar winner Cate Blanchett has landed a starring role in Steven Spielberg's fourth instalment of the 'Indiana Jones' franchise.
The storyline for 'Indiana Jones 4', which once again stars Harrison Ford as the daredevil archaeologist, is being kept under close guard as talks continue between Spielberg and George Lucas' Lucasfilm who are producing the film for Paramount.
However, rumours continue to circle Hollywood that Shia LaBeouf ('A Guide to Recognising Your Saints', 'Bobby') is to play Harrison Ford's on-screen offspring in Steven Spielberg's revitalised adventure series.
Set for release in spring 2008, 'Indiana Jones 4' is set to resurrect the lucrative franchise after nearly 20 years. Spielberg is set to start filming in June in Los Angeles and as yet undisclosed locations around the world.
