Peter O'Toole visits 'The Christmas Cottage'
The 'Venus' star will play painter Glen Weissler in a forthcoming biopic.
Apr 5 2007
Having told all and sundry that his Oscar-nominated performance in 'Venus' may well be his last, Peter O'Toole is in final negotiations to take on another lead role.
The 'Lawrence of Arabia' star is in talks to play Glen Weissler, one of painter Thomas Kinkade's mentors, in a film about Kinkade's famous painting 'The Christmas Cottage'.
The painting is said to be based on the events that prompted Kinkade to become an artist, and the film will focus on that period of his life.
'The Christmas Cottage' will be directed by Michael Campus, with production set to start later this month in Vancouver and Whistler.
