Levy 'Seems' to have found next project

The 'Night at the Museum' helmer will direct an adaptation of kid's book 'The Seems: The Glitch in Sleep'.

Having made mountains of money with the frankly abominable 'Night at the Museum', director Shawn Levy has found a new fantasy feature to inflict on families.

'The Seems: The Glitch in Sleep' is a soon-to-be-published novel about a parallel universe that manufactures everything that humans take for granted. When the aforementioned glitch occurs, a young boy is sent in to correct it and save mankind.

Twentieth Century Fox have obtained the rights for Levy to adapt, and as the first part of a proposed literary series, sequels and spin-offs could doubtless follow.

'I've been working with Fox to find the next major all-audience franchise,' Levy told Variety. 'We feel that if we nail the screenplay, this has the potential to fit that bill, with the same humour, family, friendliness, and lack of condescension.' Or, alternatively, it could be brash, loud and unfunny mess like 'Night at the Museum'.
