Barry Sonnenfeld opens 'The Box'
The 'Men in Black' director is set to direct a new action adventure for 20th Century Fox.
May 11 2007
Barry Sonnenfeld is in negotiations to direct a supernatural action pic about Pandora's box imaginatively entitled 'The Box'.
Based on a script by Evan Spiliotopoulos, the film will be a contemporary take on the legend in which a teenager is tricked into opening the mythical box and in doing so unleashes hell. He must then team up with the titular Pandora to save the world.
The film is being lined up as a potential summer blockbuster, with studio 20th Century Fox hoping that Sonnenfeld can work his 'Men in Black' magic on the script.
