Damon enters 'Emerald City'

Matt Damon is set to shoot a film about the aftermath of the Iraq war for director Paul Greengrass.

Jun  7 2007

Paul Greengrass is set to re-team with Matt Damon on an adaptation of war novel 'Imperial Life in the Emerald City'.

The director and star, who previously collaborated on 'The Bourne Supremacy' and the forthcoming 'Bourne Ultimatum', will base their script on Washington Post journalist Rajiv Chandrasekaran's novel about the war in Iraq.

Damon will play a composite of characters from the book, which is set in Baghdad's supposedly secure 'Green Zone' and revolves around the mistakes made by the Coalition Provision Authority in their efforts to bring peace and stability to Iraq.
