Connery pulls out of 'Indy 4'
Indiana Jones will be without his father in the fourth film, while John Hurt has joined the cast.
Jun 8 2007
The cast for the forthcoming 'Indiana Jones' sequel has lost one British acting legend but gained another.
After thinking long and hard about his participation, Sean Connery has decided not to return to his role as Indy's dad. 'If anything could have pulled me out of retirement, it would have been an Indiana Jones film' he said. 'I love working with Steven [Spielberg] and George [Lucas], and it goes without saying that it is an honour to have Harrison as my son. But in the end, retirement is just too damned much fun.'
John Hurt has been added to the cast in an unspecified role however, joining Shia La Beouf, Cate Blanchett and Ray Winstone in the eagerly anticipated flick, which is set to hit screens on May 22, 2008.

- Technically, "pulls out" is wrong; he was never signed onto Indy 4 in order to pull out of it. Posted on Jun 08 2007 16:13
