New wife for Cruise

'Black Book' star Carice Van Houten will play Tom Cruise's betrothed in WWII adventure 'Valkyrie'.

Jun 14 2007

The cast is coming together nicely for Bryan Singer's forthcoming WWII flick, with the brilliant 'Black Book' star Carice Van Houten signing up to play Tom Cruise's wife in the action adventure.

Kenneth Branagh and Daniel Brühl have also joined the cast, which marks the first time Singer has worked with screenwriter Chris McQuarrie since 'The Usual Suspects' in 1995.

The eagerly anticipated film, which is based on a 1944 plot to kill Hitler, also has a name in the shape of 'Valkyrie', with production set to shoot at Germany's Babelsberg Studios next month.
