'Superman' revealed
Bearing a uncanny resemblance to Christopher Reeve in the new pics, newcomer Routh already looks the part.

The 'Superman Returns' shoot is well and truly underway down under, and this weekend we got our first glimpse of Brandon Routh as the 'Man of Steel'.
Getty Images have managed to assemble a whole slew of shots of Routh in his Clark Kent get-up, and we've got to admit, the guy is looking geeky as hell.
What's encouraging about the images though, is just how much he resembles the definitive Superman, Christopher Reeve, which would seem to be in keeping with director Bryan Singer's promise to stay true to the original Richard Donner movie.
The shots show Routh talking to fans, taking direction from Singer and running between New York taxi cabs with the air of a man about to rip open his shirt to reveal an iconic red and blue suit.
Unfortunately there are no shots of him in the famous outfit yet, but rest assured we're keeping our eagle-eyes peeled for any signs of that insignia
For now though, click here for the initial pics.
