MTV Movie Awards nominees announced

The award show that includes best villain, best action sequence and best fight has revealed its full list of nominees.

'Mean Girls' and 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' lead the field at this year's MTV Movie Awards with four nominations apiece.

Neither film made it into the Best Movie category however, with 'The Incredibles', 'Kill Bill Vol. 2', 'Napoleon Dynamite', 'Ray' and 'Spider-Man 2' duking it out for that particular honour.

The Academy Award's more rebellious younger brother, MTV's ceremony includes such unusual categories as Best On-Screen Team, Best Kiss and Best Musical Performance, wherein Napoleon Dynamite's 'election dance' faces stiff competition from Ron Burgundy's rendition of 'Afternoon Delight'.

This year two new categories have been introduced as well; Best Video Game Based on a Movie and Best Frightened Performance (and we have mo idea what the latter means either).

The awards take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 4, and will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, star of the forthcoming US adaptation of 'Fever Pitch'.
