'King Kong' trailer goes live
See the first spectacular images from Peter Jackson's epic adaptation of the classic story.

The eagerly anticipated trailer for Peter Jackson's 'King Kong' has hit the net, and it's by far the most spectacular teaser of the year.
Kicking off in the midst of a beautiful 1930s New York period setting, it immediately introduces us to the three main (human) protagonists, Carl Denham (Jack Black), Jack Driscoll (Adrien Brody) and damsel in distress Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts).
The action then moves to Skull Island, where our heroes (who also include Brits Andy Serkis and Jamie Bell) embark on a 'journey into the heart of the unknown.'
What follows is a mouth-watering montage of prehistoric beasts and bugs doing battle, and an enormous monkey wreaking all kinds of havoc on the uncharted island.
A stunning trailer that's every bit as epic as Jackson's work on the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy, it perfectly sets the scene for what will doubtless be one of the biggest films of the year.
'King Kong' hits cinemas on December 14.
