DiCaprio caught up in 'Cat's Cradle'
The 'Titanic' star's production company are to develop an adaptation of the Kurt Vonnegut novel.

No sooner had we revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio was about to start work on both a diamond smuggling film and an Ernest Hemingway adaptation (click here for details), then the superstar announces another project in the works.
DiCaprio's Appian Way production company are to develop a feature based on Kurt Vonnegut's dystopian thriller 'Cat's Cradle'.
An apocalyptic tale of death and destruction, the novel revolves around the creation of 'ice-nine', a military weapon designed to freeze water so that soldiers can extract themselves from mud (something that Time Out could have done with in Glastonbury last week).
However, the weapon also has the unfortunate side effect of continuing to freeze the world's water until every last drop is turned into solid ice-nine.
The book will be adapted by James V Hart ('Contact', 'Sahara') and his son Jake, although it's not clear at this point whether or not DiCaprio himself will star in the film.
