Alex Zane presents 'Smokey and the Bandit'

As part of Time Out's 'My Favourite Film' at the Curzon Soho, Zane will present the comedy classic.

Sep  1 2005

Alex Zane will present a very special screening of 'Smokey and the Bandit' at the Curzon Soho cinema this Sunday (September 4).

The comedian and TV presenter will introduce the comedy classic as part of Time Out's 'My Favourite Film' series.

And for those who don't remember it, 'Smokey and the Bandit' (reviewed here) is a 97-minute chase movie that follows 'Bandit' Burt Reynolds as he attempts to transport an illegal lorryload of beer back to Georgia.

A film that spawned a thousand pretenders (indeed the recently released 'Dukes of Hazard' owes much to Reynolds' high-speed antics), 'Smokey' is the original, and remains the best.

Tickets for this unique screening are £6, available from the Curzon box office on 020 7734 2255.
