'Lady in the Water' teaser hits the net

Catch a first glimpse at what M Night Shyamalan has up his sleeve this time around.

Nov 22 2005

The teaser for M Night Shyamalan's next film, 'Lady in the Water', has hit the net.

Telling the tale of apartment superintendent Cleveland Heep and his burgeoning friendship with a mystical, pool dwelling creature called a 'narf', the film stars Paul Giamatti and Bryce Dallas Howard, and was orginally conceived as a bedtime story for Shyamalan's children.

And while the brief trailer gives little away, it certainly suggests a sweeter and more gentle effort from Shyamalan after the twisted chills of 'The Sixth Sense', 'Unbreakable', 'Signs' and 'The Village'.

Whether this change in style will be enough to pull the crowds in next summer remains to be seen, but to see the teaser now, simply click here: 'Lady in the Water' trailer.
