'Flight 93' site goes live

Production details, a forum and a memorial can all be found on the film's new website.

Paul Greengrass started work on his 9/11 feature 'Flight 93' at Pinewood Studios last week.

Greengrass, who is no stranger to controversial moviemaking having helmed 'Bloody Sunday' in 2001, will re-enact what happened to United Airlines 93, the last of the four aircrafts hijacked on September 11th.

'9/11 was unique – the most important event of our lifetime, casting a shadow over all our futures,' the director explained. 'It's vital for cinema to begin the task of exploring what it meant and what it continues to mean today. Hopefully 'Flight 93' will be a worthy contribution to that process.'

The film, which has the full support of the families of those onboard, will be semi-improvised and unfold in real time.

'Flight 93' is set for release in America on April 28, 2006.
