Sarah Jessica Parker sent down

The 'Sex and the City Star' is set to play a banged up publicist in musical comedy 'Slammer'.

Jan 13 2006

Sarah Jessica Parker is in talks to star in 'Slammer', a 'Private Benjamin' style comedy, for Revolution Studios.

'The Family Stone' star will play Maggie Ray, a publicist who is framed for theft and sent to New York's appropriately named Sing Sing prison.

Once there, in an attempt to raise morale, improve the prison's image and save her career, she produces a musical starring the inmates.

'Camp' helmer Todd Graff is in negotiations to direct, while Marc Shaiman and Scott Whitman, who worked on the Broadway version of 'Hairspray', will compose the film's songs.
