'The Omen 666' trailer arrives online
Catch a first glimpse the 2006 version of the spawn of Satan.

Hollywood is currently churning out a seemingly endless stream of horror remakes, with updates of 'The Hills Have Eyes', 'The Eye', 'When a Stranger Calls', and 'The Grudge 2' all coming out this year.
These tired re-treads rarely come close to capturing the terror and fear of the originals, and seem to be little more than indicators of the lack of originality and imagination coming out of Tinseltown at the moment.
That said, I'm somewhat intrigued by the forthcoming 'Omen' remake 'The Omen 666'. Sure, it seems like a cynical marketing exercise (being made to hit screens on 6.6.06 - clever eh?), but with a cast that consists of the likes of Liev Schreiber, David Thewlis, Julia Stiles, Mia Farrow and Pete Postlethwaite, it can't be all bad.
The teaser for the film has now hit the net, and although it gives little away, it does provide a glimpse of newcomer Seamus Davey-Fitpatrick as Damien. And boy does he look evil.
To see the new spawn of Satan, head here, and let's all keep our collective fingers crossed that they don't mess this one up.

- If this film is better than the original ,which is going to be difficult then it will be a classic ,with a good cast and strong directing this film is bound to cause a huge impact and pending it's succes should hopefully see the remake of the whole trilogy and a great box set to come. - I know Seamus, I use to babysit him. He is an incredible kid, super mature and his eyes are intense. One day we *my mom, aunt and I* were at his house. When we left my aunt said oh his eyes the way he was looking at you was like Damien would ugh, it was freaking me out. I found out yesterday Seamus was in this movie, truth be told.
