Norah Jones plans 'Blueberry Nights'
The singer is set to star in Wong Kar-Wai's next feature.
Feb 13 2006
What is it with secretive directors and their mysterious projects? Last week I announced that Mike Leigh was planning a new picture, although that's pretty much where the story ended, with no news of a title, plot or cast. And today Wong Kar-Wai has done much the same.
The acclaimed Chinese director, who brought us the likes of 'In the Mood for Love' and '2046', is expected to start work on an English-language flick in New York soon.
However, while Leigh is happy to keep us totally in the dark, Kar-wai has let a couple of details slip.
The film, which currently has the working title 'My Blueberry Nights', will be based on a short film the director made in Hong Kong several years ago, and is rumoured to star singer Norah Jones in her acting debut.
Aside from that, little else is known, although rest assured we'll keep you posted when further news breaks.
