Ozon announces English-language debut
'Angel' will be set in London and star Charlotte Rampling, Sam Neill and Romola Garai.

No sooner had Wong Kar-Wai announced his English-language debut yesterday than François Ozon was at it today.
The French director, whose previous credits include '8 Women' and 'Swimming Pool', is about to start work on 'Angel', a period piece set in 1910 about a woman who works her way into the upper classes by writing a series of best-selling books.
Filming in and around London and Bristol for the next few weeks, 'Angel' stars Charlotte Rampling, Lucy Russel, Sam Neill andRomola Garai ('I Capture the Castle') as the fictional novelist.

- any news too as to whether adrien brody, rachel weisz and ewan macgregor will be any good in this film? none of them exactly have the best track record. 'the jacket', anyone? 'the village'? 'the mummy'? is there a cameo for julian sands? Posted on Feb 15 2006 10:56

- Afraid I don't have the exact details for where Angel is being filmed, but as for the Wong Kar-Wai film, Adrien Brody, Rachel Weisz and Ewan McGregor are all rumoured to be involved, though nothing is set in stone. And 'My Blueberry Nights' is apparently just a working title at the moment. Posted on Feb 15 2006 08:43
