Christmas comedy for Vince Vaughn

The 'Wedding Crashers' star will play seasonal sibling 'Fred Claus' in a forthcoming comedy.

Feb 27 2006

Vince Vaughn is in talks to play Santa's less successful younger brother 'Fred Claus' in a new Warner Bros flick.

Scripted by Dan Fogelman, the film will be directed by David Dobkin, who previously worked with Vaughn on the underrated 'Clay Pigeons' and last year's hugely successful sleeper hit 'Wedding Crashers'.

The film will revolve around Santa's black-sheep brother, who returns to the North Pole when an opportunity arises to redeem himself.

If a deal can be signed, expect 'Fred Claus' to go into production soon.
