'Shooting Dogs' blogs launch

Two important websites have been created to accompany Michael Caton-Jones' new film.

Last week I caught a screening of 'Shooting Dogs', an incredibly powerful new film from Michael Caton-Jones about the Rwandan genocide of 1994.

An uncompromising account of the massacre of many hundreds of Tutsis who took shelter in a local school, it's an incredibly important story that needs to be told, and for that very reason, two accompanying blogs have been created to educate people on the subject of the genocide.

First up is the film's own blog, www.shootingdogsfilm.blogspot.com, which mainly focuses on the production of the film, and features diaries and testimonials from the cast and crew, many of whom were directly affected by the tragedy depicted in the film.

The other site is www.rwandansurvivors.blogspot.com, where survivors are able to give their own dramatic accounts of the genocide. It also has an interactive forum to encourage discussion and debate on Rwanda and other crimes against humanity.

'Shooting Dogs' hits UK screens on March 31, and we urge you to see the film and read these remarkable blogs.
