Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Lumet has made 40-odd films, some classic, some lousy. This isn't by any means the biggest Lumet dog (it's from Robert Dailey's novel Tainted Evidence), but it's definitely barking in the big one at Cruft's. Promising Assistant DA Casey (Garcia) is son of veteran cop Liam (Holm). Liam's seriously injured during a raid on brutal drug dealer Washington (Mahmud-Bey). With the deranged New York DA at risk of losing his job, Casey prosecutes his father's assailant. He mysteriously acquires, within seconds, the hand of a beautiful, well connected woman (Olin) and is catapulted from crappy little Assistant DA to head of the whole shebang. Dreyfuss shines as a radical defence attorney.
