No Highway (1951)
Director: Henry Koster
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Flying to Labrador to investigate an air crash, scientist Jimmy Stewart works out that the plane he is travelling in (with Dietrich as a glamorous fellow-passenger) is due to disintegrate at any minute. The drama (based on Nevil Shute's novel) strains credibility; but sly comic touches from the leads effectively give us a nod and a wink, while Koster milks the suspense for all it's worth.Author: TCh
