Elvis on Tour (1972)
Director: Pierre Adidge, Robert Abel
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
An unrevealing portrait of the Presley army on tour - Colonel Parker forever hovers around, just offscreen as it were - Elvis on Tour is none the less eminently watchable, if only for the sight and sound of James Burton's incredible guitar-playing and the re-run of an early Presley performance on the Ed Sullivan show. The'history of Elvis' montage at the end - the film is basically directionless and veers from subject to subject - was 'supervised' by Martin Scorsese.Author: PH
