Way Upstream (1986)
Director: Terry Johnson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
More point in filming this Alan Ayckbourn comedy than most, perhaps, since the floating motor launch on stage frequently got stuck. In Johnson's hands, everything but the launch gets stuck in an interminable tale of bickering couples on a Thames holiday cruise. The playwright is revered by actors for his plotting, but things go badly adrift in this TV movie, with horror film dream sequences and a bloodthirsty fight. Way offbeam.Author: BC
