What's the Worst That Could Happen? (2001)
Director: Sam Weisman
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Cocky thief Kevin (Lawrence) is caught in the act of robbing a luxury mansion by its owner, ruthless businessman Max (DeVito). Rather than deliver Kevin to the cops, Max extracts revenge by stealing Kevin's lucky ring. Thus begins a battle of wills between an amoral, ferociously competitive pair: Kevin determined to retrieve the ring his girlfriend gave him, Max resolute he'll never return it. An incoherent series of separate 'comic' scenarios are strung together with a host of incidental characters, lame jokes and embarrassing stereotypes. (From a novel by Donald E Westlake.Author: KW
