Comedy-romance with Williams as an habitual liar who's set to pick up a family inheritance if he can demonstrate he's doing something worthwhile with his life. Enter seven-year-old orphan Swann and love interest Eichhorn to try to prove his case. Heldfond makes for a feminist caricature villainess, and to tell the truth the overall point remains somewhat opaque.
