Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

López is on his usual superb form as a teacher already finding family life a little tricky when, out of the blue, old flame Testud turns up with a shocking and potentially marriage wrecking proposal. Meanwhile, all around him, friends and neighbours are going through their own crises. Fans of Poirier's earlier Western will find much to delight in this likewise low key comedy drama: the deftly evoked Breton milieu, the fine acting, the return of Bourdo as a charming social worker, the subtle, witty insights into relationships, and a lovely final dance scene, with the auteur in sly attendance.
