Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

One might have expected Ken Hannam, who made one of Australia's breakthrough movies in Sunday Too Far Away, to have brought a bit more bite to this bland biopic of swimming ace Dawn Fraser, the Olympic gold medallist whose clashes with authority culminated in a flag-stealing incident at the 1964 Tokyo games that saw her banned from competition for ten years. Mackay-Payne, a swimmer herself, looks more confident in the pool than out of it.
