From Time Out Film Guide

Or a year in the life of the largest prison in south Asia, Tihar in Delhi, seen through the eyes of a few of its 11,000 inmates. Londoner Raymond guides us through the routine of this massive community, but attention is soon diverted to one imprisoned family's worries over their daughter's schooling. Soon to be five, the girl is no longer able to stay with her mother, but has never known life outside. This UK Channel 4 TV production, narrated by Art Malik, is marked by the serenity with which many of its subjects appear to approach their fate, but perhaps because of the lengthy legal process - trials take around five years - it's tantalisingly open ended.
