Rape and revenge in the African veldt. What matters more than the plot are the assumptions that the movie (made in Rhodesia) parades up front: Lee's police chief is eminently humane (under crusty exterior), Howard's white settler eminently soft-hearted (under crusty exterior), the blacks sorely in need of the white man's guiding hand, and the terrorist leader an albino sexual pervert.
