Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Sequel to The Robe and just as absurd, with Christ's garment now the object of a quest by Caligula. But the pieties have gone, to be replaced by the tortuous court machinations of Caligula, Messalina and Claudius; there are some spiffing gladiatorial combats; and with Daves showing much more ease in the CinemaScope format than Henry Koster, it's a lot of fun.
