Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999)
Director: Mike Mitchell
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
If you're a fan of heaving breasts, dick jokes and scatology, you've won the lottery. When gigolo Antonio goes out of town he entrusts Deuce Bigalow (Schneider), a goofy, out-of-work aquarium cleaner, with his $6,000 state-of-the-art aquarium and Malibu pad. But the tank gets smashed, leaving Deuce in urgent need of fast cash. Enter TJ, Antonio's pimp, who reckons Deuce could be a high-earning 'man-whore' too. A little strategic waxing, a dodgy perm, and he's all ready for the laydees. Proving a hit, he's soon raking it in. He didn't reckon on falling in love though. First-timer Mike Mitchell directs, but this has Adam Sandler's production stamped all over it. He's clearly still trapped in the mind of a 13-year-old boy. Spectacularly crass.Author: KW
