Spencer Tracy plays Ingrid Bergman in this hideous Polynesian variation on The Inn of the Sixth Happiness. He is a drunken and soul-searching missionary on an island about to be fire and brimstoned by a volcano, and can't save the leper children on his own. Enter three escaped convicts whose souls need saving. Everyone goes to heaven.
