Dr Rhythm (1938)
Director: Frank Tuttle
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Lamebrained musical which makes a hash of O Henry's story The Badge of Policeman O'Roon, about a hungover doctor who takes over bodyguard duties (falling for the heiress, naturally) from a policeman friend unable to work because he was bitten by a recalcitrant seal. Enlivened (although even she seems under the weather) by the marvellous Bea Lillie, who unleashes a wild gypsy dance, and entraps a bemused Franklin Pangborn as recipient of her famous 'Two dozen double damask dinner napkins' routine.Author: TM
